hello.
today was a good monday. because of the structure of working in a church, with weekends packed with church activities, i have mondays off. so now mondays have become my sacred rest day. i love mondays. thank God for mondays!

mother called me at 1pm and woke me from my sleep. "oei! so what time are we going out?" crawled out of bed and went to have a haircut and after that, mom picked gladys and i from the bus-stop. we flew over to crystal jade for lunch and a lot of talk. :)

in the midst of it all the chattering and mom pulling faces in photos, i realized how fortunate i am and how gracious God was in restoring my family's unity. i guess it is easy to overlook what Jesus did for us sometimes because it was just so subtle and gradual. from a time of confusion, anger and hate, God returned into our lives and slowly turned it around. blogging this down probably won't do this miracle much justice... because i myself am incapable to describe how grateful i am to God. listening to my mom laughing about how we siblings all look alike, i leaned over to lie on her head. it made me feel very xing fu. my mom is a woman of courage and determination. she has a big heart. i love her.

we discussed about jolin in one of our many topics and i remembered the times where it all began with jolin coming into our home. she was pretty weird and all of us were worried about her. there was quite a bit of drama in the house but my sisters and i continually prayed for her. meimei is now a cheery, out-spoken primary 3 girl who bugs the church youths for candy. my region youths take care of her really well. and as a brother am watching over her too. my mom always complains about how she feels that she can't discipline jolin enough and is always worried about her character development. when i hear that, i will be the one comforting her and telling her everything will be fine, assuring that she is being a good mother... i guess in seeing how loving God is in our family's lives, i kinda knew somewhere in my heart that God is taking care of my sister. and even if mom and dad and gladys and kimberly and auntie joy and i would fail in teaching her the right things, mistakes are okay because in any equation with my God is victory.

i love my family. i don't know why have i allowed my work to take away my family time so much. i remember it used to be every sunday night where we will all go out for a good dinner before i book-in to tekong. it is kinda a pity kimberly didn't join us today because we really had good conversations on the table today. and i think that is another step into a better relationship in the family. the family didn't talk much last time. :) today was nice. maybe i will force her myself to come join us next time. haha

thank you mom for your $100 Gap sweater. i think you also kinda knew that i would take advantage of today's outing with you. i hope you like the two tops i picked out for you today. you always look better when you don't try too hard to look good. you, like my other 3 sisters are pretty girls.

love you!
